Dues and Fees
May 1, 2002
All memberships are golfing members and include pool and tennis
privileges. The cost of a certificate of membership is based on market
value. Dues are payable of May 1 of each year and are annual,
non-refundable and non-transferable. Dues for a new member joining
after the beginning of the fiscal year will be prorated.
All dues 6.5% sales tax where applicable

Ownership or use of a golf cart is not required. Golf carts are
available for rental by paying either a daily rental fee or by the
purchase of a discounted ten-ride pass.

Golf at its best…
The Heather Golf and Country Club is a semi-private Club limited to
300 equity members, formed in 1988 for the purpose of providing quality
golf, tennis, swimming and social events for its Membership.
The Heather is located on U.S. 19, just 1 mile north of the famous
mermaids of Weeki Wachee Springs. Its members reside mainly in Hernando
County and many have summer residences in the North.
The Heather’s golf course is a 2,354-yard, 9-hole layout. The beautiful
live oaks and pines that line the narrow fairways provide a challenging
and interesting course for all levels of golfing skills. Private carts
are welcome and walking is permitted anytime. Only soft spike shoes are
permitted.
The practice facility consists of a putting green and a bunkered
pitching hole. A professional golf instructor is available for lessons
and the Pro Shop is stocked for all a golfer’s necessities. Enjoy a
cool beverage, light refreshment and friendly conversation in the Snack
Shop.
Members are entitled to make tee times four days in advance of play.
Tee times are strongly suggested in season.
Cart rentals for members are available on a daily basis or by the
purchase of a ten-ride cart ticket. The price per ride provides a
substantial saving for the renter. Carts are rented until 3:30 p.m. in
season and 4:30 p.m. during the warm summer months.
The Club provides many ways to enjoy your golfing experience. The
Ladies’ League plays on Tuesdays and the Men’s League plays on
Wednesdays. Each autumn, the ladies and men play against each other for
the coveted Hadland Trophy. The Club Championship takes place each
March and an awards banquet follows. Night Golf is played on the
evening of the December full moon. Scrambles are played on the first
and third Sundays of each month. A Couples’ League forms each winter
with play on the second and fourth Saturday from November through April.
A Club handicap is required for play in each of these events
Not enough? The pool is open year round. Water exercise classes are
conducted two times a week, weather permitting. Pool parties are held
every last Sunday of the month. The tennis courts are open all day with
no reservations required.
STILL NOT ENOUGH? The Social Committee plans a variety of entertainment
throughout the year, such as holiday parties, special get-togethers and
dinner theater trips. All of these build warm friendships in a relaxed
atmosphere.
